For me, person-centered means that I believe you are the expert on your life and everything I offer you is a suggestion rather than “advice.” I do not direct the sessions or give structured assignments in therapy. Instead, I ask that clients come with something to talk about and then we work together to dig into the material they are struggling with in that moment. Transpersonal simply means “beyond the individual.” Meaning, I strive to help clients see beyond the limits of their ego experience and into the perspective of their higher self.
